McCook Pantry

The McCook Pantry serves McCook and surrounding areas and is sponsored by the Red Willow County Ministerial Association. They provide food for those in McCook and Southwest Nebraska, who meet the USDA income guidelines.


  • Volunteer hours per week - 132 hours (given by approximately 60 individuals)

  • An estimated 1,100 different McCook and area families have been served by the McCook Pantry at least one time during the last twelve months.


  • St. Alban's Episcopal Church donates space and utilities. The Pantry assists with the electrical bill.
  • Hours & Location

    The Pantry is open to serve the public, Monday-Friday, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. They are located at 509 West 1st Street in McCook, NE

  • Volunteering

    It takes approximately 160 volunteer hours per week to operate the Pantry.


    Work a shift with a variety of possibilities (can be one day a month, a day each  week, or just as fill-in), picking up orders or assisting with unloading the trucks from the Food Bank for the Heartland.

  • Requirement for Patrons

    Each family can only be served once per month.
